Discovery Of Morse Coad (1844)-WordsEnclave

Morse And Vali communication electrically.

Named after Samule Morse (1791- 1844) - Morse code is a simple code in which letters are represented by dits and dahs. The code, which is a milestone in longrange communication, via a series of electrical signals. In 1844, several years after Morseand his partner Alfred Vail had created the code, Morse demonstrated to the American Congress the power of the telegraph by using the code. To the awe, he sent the message "What hath God wrought"from Washington to Baltimore at a speed that no horse or car could hope to match.
Congress was skeptical of Morse for several years before they agreed to build the Washington - Baltimore line (at the enormous cost of $30,000). Morse code took off and was soon used internationally by militaries, railroads, and businesses. The first form of radio communication was "wireless telegraphy,"which involved transmitting Morse code via radio.
Morse code assings a single unit of time to a dit and three units of time to a dah. Between each letter are paused of times units and paused of seven time units between words. The precise unit of time varies with operators could regularly transmit and receive twenty to thirty words per minute.
Morse code has now been largely superseded but it is still used occasionally, especially among ships. The famous SOS signal (three dits, pause, three dahs, pause, three dits) is used as a distress signal. Amateur radio enthusiasts from all over the world communicate with the reliable dits and dahs of Morse code.

The Communications Room Onboard the ill-fated Titanic, which sent out the SOS signal before it sank.

Holographic Memory (1970) - WordsEnclave

Caulfield, Soref, and McMahon develop a new form of data storage. While holography is commonly associated with three dimensional images, some of the most important developments have been in using holograms to store and retrieve information in optical form. Holographic memory was created by interference patterns between two sources of light, called the reference and signal, with lasers being the most precise. Instead of recording an image of an object, as with normal holograms, a set of  data can be capture instead. Binary data in the form of 1s or 0s can be represented by a pattern of light and dark. Holographic memory is still very much in development, but the pioneering work was done almost  forty years ago. In 1970s  Henry Caulfield (1873-1966) _ then principal scientist at the Sperry Rand Research Center in the United States _along with electrical engineers Richard Soref and Donald McMahon field the patent for "holographic data storage". In it they proposed holog...
